Motion visuals and wordmark for Book Jacket, a yearly event organized by Wired Magazine featuring some of the most influential people in tech, business, and entertainment. This year it raised questions about technology’s impact on our past, present, and future. As a result, the visual language designed for the event goes back in time and is inspired from early internet aesthetics, retro tracks, and the demoscene.

I used scaffolding as a medium, transforming  and experiment typefaces into different forms by paper. Starting from scaffolding, I extracted several key words such as "Visual design medium, Points, Lines, Space Division, Privacy, Screening, Framework, Encapsulation, Industrial Era, New Architecture……” From these keywords, I started several experimental directions, among which the use of scaffolding in space was the most satisfying to me. Typically, green mesh is draped over scaffolding for purposes like covering and dust protection. This green mesh transforms the skeletal-like structure in interesting ways, turning into a beautiful green paint style through various angles and methods of coverage.
